This ultra rare superstar was treated to a complete frame off mega dollar rotisserie restoration done to the highest standards possible. There is nothing better than a # 1 condition black car. The problem with most black cars is once you put them under hundreds and hundreds of fluorescent lights in an indoor showroom all the little flaws and waves that couldn’t be seen outside all show up under lights. Well not on this superstar. She’s as straight as the Pope and a whole lot faster. For years and years there have been hundreds of surveys done of the top muscle cars of all times. Every time they do one, the 70 LS6 454 Chevelle is top 10 with many times # 1. In 1970 all the major car magazines were all fighting to get these horsepower monsters on the drag strip. Car life magazine called the 450 HP 454 the best supercar engine ever released by General Motors. Motor trend ran an automatic car with two people in it and ran 13.8 at 97.5 MPH then super stock magazine grabbed one with a four speed and managed a sizzling 13.20 blast through the quarter mile. You have to remember these were brand new bone stock cars on bias ply tires. Car craft magazines hotfoots damn near made it into the twilight zone for street cars (the 12 second bracket). Their best quarter mile time was 13.12 at 107 MPH. Super stock magazine got the last laugh. Their test driver, one of the photographers, took off the stock exhaust manifolds put on a set of headers and a pair of Goodyear slicks and recorded and almost unbelievable 12.69 at 113.26 MPH time slip. This pinnacle piece of muscle car history is a fresh restoration with about 1500 feet since completion (feet not miles). This baby is for the serious collector. From end to end, top to bottom the craftsmanship is spectacular with paintwork that will leave you speechless. SERIOUS TELEPHONE INQUIRIES ONLY. NO EMAILS, NO DREAMERS, NO BARGAIN HUNTERS.
